The London Aquarium along Westminster Bridge Road has literally hundreds of fish and other marine and aquatic life from all over the globe in its exotic tanks. This restful and beautiful centre attracts hundreds of people; educational as well as entertaining.
Here you will see anything from ferocious sharks and elegant rays, to the formidable piranha and gentle seahorses, starfish and crabs scurrying along the sand bars.
Each tank has an environment to suit its guest including waterfalls and mangroves. It has been noted that the divers who work in the tanks, spend a total of four days each year underwater.
Also available for corporate or private events, you can eat and drink in a tropical paradise surrounded by swirling lights reflected from rippling pools, while the sharks watch you eat.
The Aquarium has interactive displays and a touch tank, where you can actually stroke some of the friendlier species, making this the ideal family day out.
Informative talks and feeding displays progress throughout the day; free to visitors
The Aquarium is open from 10am to 6pm daily and feeding times are advertised. You’ll find it just over Westminster Bridge from Big Ben, near the London Eye.
