Wimbledon is the home of the All England Tennis and Croquet Club and famous for staging the Wimbledon Championships. Founded in 1868 in South
London on Church Road, Wimbledon.
Lord’s Cricket Ground is equally famous and the home of Middlesex County Cricket Club and owned by the Marylebone Cricket Club, located at St. John’s Wood.
The equally famous Oval Cricket Ground is in Kensington and the usual venue for the final test match of each summer.
The Linford Christie Stadium is used by the Thames Valley Harriers, one of the UK's leading athletics clubs. It was opened in 1973 since when it has been improved with the addition of a covered indoor straight and synthetic track surface, and also provision for Football, Hockey and Rugby.
Wembley Arena was built for the 1934 Empire Games, and is now used for Boxing and Ice Hockey matches.
Wimbledon Stadium is the UK’s largest and most popular Dog Racing track. Located at Plough Lane,
