Westminister

On the Northern banks of the river and west of the City of London sit’s the imposing City of Westminster, a London Borough and a city in its own right it contains within its borders much of what symbolizes England’s first city.

Along the Banks of the Thames here is the Palace of Westminster (The Houses of Parliament),by Sir Charles Barry with its fine Neo Gothic facades and the tower of Big Ben. Whitehall and the Law Courts or “Royal Courts of Justice”

The real seat of power number 10 Downing Street is also to be found here. Downing Street built by George Downing in the 1680s and has been the official home of our Prime Ministers since 1732.What really happens behind that black door?
